WHY CARE ABOUT THE SURVEYS (SWS/PULSE ASIA or Any other Survey)?

1. Will it stop you from voting the person you think is right?

2. Will you vote for the candidate who is popular?

Why in the world would you need the survey for? So you’ll have the chance to vote for another President who is 2nd or 3rd in your list just because he/she has a better chance? If people would think the same way, you’re primary candidate will not win (not unless your candidate of course is in the top of the said survey).

But I guess that’s one of the flaws of the survey. I guess that’s why people are now making non-candidate specific facebook pages that encourages people to vote using their conscience and not vote because of surveys.

Facebook vote with your conscience advocacy

The guys doing these facebook ads know pretty well that a lot of Filipinos are playing “Mafia Wars” so they positioned their political ads when a “Filipino” is playing “Mafia Wars”. In the above example , [...]

The guys doing these facebook ads know pretty well that a lot of Filipinos are playing “Mafia Wars” so they positioned their political ads when a “Filipino” is playing “Mafia Wars”. In the above example , you can see that somebody has been trying to “attack” Noynoy. I’ve seen a lot of this negative ads in facebook. Just imagine, some presidential candidate is spending around $0.50/click just to “highlight” some negative news about his/her opponent?

Now what kind of a presidential candidate would do such “negative” tactics? Do you think that person who is behind these ”negative” propaganda ads is fit to be the president? If he/she can do this now, what more when he/she is in power?

I’m really worried about this. I don’t have a problem if candidates promote themselves but when they started doing negative stuff like this, it scares to think that there might be more of this “negative” and perhaps “evil” stuff when this person is in power.

Prior to being a politician, he was a successful business man. Born in Dec 13, 1949 in Tondo Manila, his father was a government employee while his mother is a seafood dealer. Manny is the 2nd of nine children.

Back in 1975, he used a seed capital of PHP10,000 to buy 2 unites of reconditioned trucks to start his sand and gravel business. He later on established one of the largest residential development firm in the country (Camella Homes and Palmera Homes). They were famous for real estate development targetted at low income families.

Manny Villar entered Philippine politices back in 1992 and was elected to the House of Representatives as a Congressman for the district of Las Piñas. He became a senator in 2001.

Manny Villar expressed his intentions to run in the 2010 presidential elections. He as well as other “known presidentiables” were criticized by some groups of people about their TV ads being aired prior to the official campaign periods. However, some people said that it was not against the law since there wasn’t any official filing of candidacy yet and therefore such politicians cannot be prevented from appearing on TV.
