Many are asking if Manny Villar really grew up in Tondo Manila and was really that poor before just as what was said in the TV. I think it was really true that Manny Villar came from a poor struggling family just like what the TV commercial has shown.

He was born in Moriones Tondo Manila. He attended the Holy Child Catholic School and according to some sources he sold seafood at the Divisoria market. There was a time when he was a working student that he also worked as a fish and shrimp trader.

He graduated at the University of the Philippines where he earned his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Business Administration.
